About K.M. Herbert

Kayla ‘K.M.’ Herbert is a British Canadian author and poet based in Yorkshire. Her debut novel, The Book of Moons, was published in 2020 by Fisher King Publishing. She published her poetry collection Between the Spaces independently in 2019 and has performed her work at the Ilkley Literature Festival and the Leeds Art Gallery, as well as other local venues across Yorkshire. She has a BA in English Literature from McGill University and is currently pursuing an MA in Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2023, her work-in-progress, Behind the Green Sky, won a Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Margaret Carey scholarship and was longlisted for WriteMentor’s Novel-in-Development Award.
